Rahu-Ketu | The North and South Nodes of the Moon

Rahu and Ketu – The North and South Nodes of the Moon | “the shadow planets”
These are very similar and opposites simultaneously.
The story of Rahu and Ketu is found in the puranas specially the Bhagavat purana.
There it is said that there was an evil King named Svarbhanu, who disguised himself in order to get the nectar of immortality. Though beheaded for his trickery , he became immortal by the drop of amrita – immortality. However in two parts.
From the tale we can see several significations: artificiality, cheating, selfishness, greed, unreliability, obsession.
Apart from the above qualities, these two planets represent rebellion, strangers, foreigners, sudden unexpected events, occult knowledge, subtle energy and subtle beings.
Rahu particularly signifies obsession, greed, and long unfulfilled desires from previous lives. On the good note, the Rahu period is great for studying, for living in ashrams and for accessing mystical and subconscious dimensions.
Ketu is a significator of detachment, letting go, yogis, meditation, impulsive and explosive reactions. On the bright side, it gives scientific intellect, especially when connected with the moon. When joined with Mars or Saturn makes one a surgeon, for ketu is cutting by nature. Wherever it sits shows areas of great skill and comfort.
These two are all you need to worry about in your astrological birth chart.
Indeed, guess what?! The malefic influence of Rahu and Ketu who at the moment are aligned in the inauspicious Kala Sarpa Yoga – “the coil of the black snake of time”, has put the world in such a pathetic situation: world lockdown.
